This was my first attempt in trying to use an off camera flash to give a completely black background. I definitely found a technique I'll want to mess around with more.
It was right before I was going to read my son his bedtime stories and put him to bed when I remembered i still needed a picture for the day. I had to persuade him to help me take this picture with an extra bedtime story (much more favorable than more candy). He sat for exactly two shots and then declared, "I'm ready for bed Daddy." Haha. But at least one of the two shots was usable.
