Cone of Shame
About a month ago, Ivan ran into a patch of something pointy, burs or stickers at the state park maybe.. or got attacked by gnats. We're not sure what happened, but the result was that he developed a pretty serious reaction on his neck, in the area around his collar. The bumps scabbed up and healed, but later his lip got fat, perhaps from the same issue, or perhaps just a coincidence. It wouldn't heal because he kept scratching it open with his back left foot. The vet suggested an e-collar, aka "the cone of shame", and that has worked wonders. His mouth almost looks normal again.
