Summertime Nostalgia
A self portrait taken last year during one of our creative retreats in Iceland. I fell in love with the lush greenery and intimate atmosphere around this location, and somehow I was suddenly overwhelmed with nostalgia for the early days of my self portrait journey around 15 years ago. I decided to take a few minutes to myself to channel that nostalgia into this image, capturing the childlike wonder and contented joy of just sitting among the grass and flowers and breathing in the mist. Perfection in its simplicity. π
