Astronomic clock, Strasbourg cathedral

Notre-Dame, Strasbourg, 28 July 2022. See also flic.kr/p/2oacz7X In 1838 Schwilgué was asked to build this clock. It took him and his carefully selected and trained team of workers some five years to complete it (in 1842). The clock is one of the largest in the world, and one of the most complex. It shows the official time, the solar time, the day, week month and year, the zodiacal signs, the moon phase, and the position of the planets.
