Locked inside your heart-shaped rocks

The heart-shaped coral rocks at the Tiinu beach on Kouri-jima, a.k.a Koi-Jima (love island), a tiny island off the coast of Okinawa. The island, with a perimeter of 8 kilometers, became famous when the heart-shaped rocks were featured in a television commercial that aired nationwide in Japan. The island became accessible by car when the Kouri Bridge between Kouri Island and Yagaji Island in Nago was built in 2005, and many people flock here to wish for good fortune in love. The love theme continues over at the cave at Chinugu beach, where the Okinawan version of Adam and Eve are believed to have grown their love (pre-apple I suppose).
