Hakusan Hokora

A miniature Shinto shrine (hokora or hokura), behind the Godai Do Hall at the Yamadera temple complex. Such a shrine, typically found in the vicinity of a larger one, can enshrine Dōsojin, minor kami protecting travelers from evil spirits.
