1872 - Kathryn Caroline Lister (1869-1960) [Tintype]

Kathryn (Carrie) Lister was born on May 11, 1869, in Gillespie, Illinois to Charles Lister (1841-1913) and Anna (Frey) Lister (1836-1900). She married David A. Bushell (1863-1939) in 1887.

 

David and Carrie had three children during their marriage – Hazel Collier (1889-1912), Floyd Bushell (1893-1903), Dorothy Silverwood (1898-1978). Her oldest daughter, Hazel, was tragically murdered by her husband in 1912.

 

She died on April 30, 1960, in Charleston, West Virginia, at the age of 90, and was buried in Sullivan, Indiana next to her husband and two oldest children.
