Shanghai - City Of Lights (China)
Bored? Killing time at work? Here's the way I see it:
By liking the Blame The Monkey Facebook Page or following me on Twitter, I'm helping you, help me, help you, by helping (us) waste a few more pesky seconds at work before the end of the damn day.
Other time killers: Google+ |-| Smugmug |-| 500px |-| HDR Tutorials |-| Technical Mumbo Jumbo |-|

The spectacle begins:
Shanghai is an amazing city and even more so at night. At 7pm all the lights turn on and the spectacle begins. Every building has it’s own look and feel, each with it’s own light show. At 11pm, all the show lights turn off, marking the end of the display.
Notice the Aurora Building on the right? The whole face of that skyscraper is once big television screen that cycles all sorts of videos and animations. I’m pretty sure I captured it saying, “I love Shanghai.”
The Pearl Tower stands the tallest with elaborate lights all the way up. It’s hard to miss from any vantage point in the city. You can pay a little bit of cash to get to the top. Once there, you can check out a huge viewing station, complete with a transparent floor.
I spent a lot of time wandering around trying to find the best vantage point for this shot. Out of all the places I found, this one was my favorite. Many random mystery foods later, I settled on this Blue Hour version for the first post. -- I’ll try to release some different versions in the coming weeks.
