something old

So, with yesterday’s post, Intergalactic Shopping Spree, I showcased something ultra clean and modern. Today I thought I’d kick it back a notch... Of course, by kick it back I mean by a few hundred years...

So, let’s step back in time here for a moment and enjoy the overwhelming texture and detail of Venice.

I really recommend taking a quick peek at the before image. It will give you a good sense of how far you can push a photo’s saturation, contrast, and texture. If nothing else, it will kill a few more seconds of the work day. It is Friday after all. Nothing productive happens on Friday.

Could I have pushed it more? Sure. Should I have pushed it more? Maybe. Either way, you’re stuck with it. -- It’s Friday ;)

Also, if you enjoyed this image, check out some other overly textured shots: Of Stone and Slab, Test of Time, and Sun Scorched Beauty. Or check out all the photos from Venice.
