If you don't like the gaps in the previous photo, no problem! Just replace those corner pieces with 1x1 bricks, and voila: no more gaps. And the added benefit here is that you can just build on the studs, because they're all still lined up correctly. And if you don't want studs, just replace the 1x1 brick with 2 1x1 plates and a tile. And since the cheese slope is elevated on top of the stud underneath (none of those messy tile floors to construct underneath), it's all the same height as the brick for a nice even surface.
I was actually in bed, trying to sleep, because I have to get up early and do lots of work. But of course I can't sleep, and of course LEGO ideas pop into my head. So of course I had to run downstairs and see if it would work.
I apologize for the light; it's the best I can do in the middle of the night. And Picnik isn't working, either.
Now back to bed with me!
