Hi Ever, just thought you might be interested that E13 effects graced the stage at CBGB before it closed. The False Prophets, my old band from the '80s, got back together to do a show there Sept. 21 (opening for the Jello Biafra-less "Dead Kennedys").

I wound up playing guitar instead of bass (thereby hangs a tale I'll spare you) and used a Dark Boost (in between a Telecaster and a Fender Blues Junior).

OK, it might be the most prosaic pedal you've ever made, but I like it a lot.

Yeah, it's fine to quote me on the Web site. I'm attaching a photo-I don't know how clear it is, but the yellow and black box in my left hand should look familiar.

I've got a few projects going now. The one I do most is a live soundtrack to slide show/spoken-word performances by artists Seth Tobocman and Mac McGill. (I recorded an album with Seth last year, but it never came out; I used the Dark Boost on some tracks on that too.) I've also got a semi-dormant garage-punk band called Gateria, am learning klezmer music, and am trying to put together something where I play bass-it's my main instrument. And I may end up playing guitar in a partially resurrected False Prophets.

I've spent enough money on gear, records, and travel for the rest of this year, but I probably could be tempted by more sonic toys-i'm probably going to be in Austin in January.
