Batman Building London AKA Gotham
This building is quite well known to London Photographers both for a unique design full of sharp angles and the similarity to the Batman sign if photographed from the right POV. The building is 7 More London Riverside and is the headquarters for PWC. It is part of the More London development in London, and was designed by Foster + Partners. It is in an area next to Tower Bridge on the South Bank. For my take I went for a straight up shot and cropped close to concentrate on the Batman shape. It was a very dull day but I also processed for a darker look as well as converting to mono.
The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A68 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 12 mm. (later cropped) I took 3 shots for HDR. 3 raw images 2EV spacing processed with Photomatix Contrast Optimiser for a natural look. I used Topaz Adjust with a vignette. Noise was removed with Topaz DeNoise.. I decided low key mono would be ideal for this shot and used Topaz B&W Effects for the conversion. I used a selective brightness adjustment to darken the lights
