Fringed polygala (Polygala paucifolia) is a small woodland plant (height generally less than 9 cm) that blooms in Spring and is native to parts of East North America.
Seeds possess specialized fleshy structures that attract ants. The ants carry seeds to their nests and facilitate dispersal.
