Sminthurinus Matrix 03/01/2013

Still plenty of these "golden" Sminthurinus around, so four from today's batch. Here's what I think:

 

1. Sminthurinus reticulatus.

 

2. Not sure - Sminthurinus aureus/reticulatus. If pressed, I'd say S. reticulatus.

 

3. Sminthurinus aureus.

 

4. Sminthurinus aureus.

 

Male globular springtail - Dicyrtomina saundersi, on the top bar of an old gate. Three images manually blended in PSE.

 

Canon 1D3 + MP-E 65mm Macro (at x5) + MT-24EX Flash. Heavily cropped (these are all around 0.5mm).
