Hairy-footed Flower Bee

There are quite a few male Hairy-footed Flower Bees (Anthophora plumipes) patrolling our Staffordshire garden. They are VERY active and rapidly move between Pulmonaria flowers, feeding on nectar.

 

I thought I'd try to get some in-flight shots but it's rather challenging. This is the best of many attempts from today.
