Gastown Nights

Please "like" my facebook page if you have a moment. Many thanks.

A snowy eve this past week I stepped out with my camera around midnight. I love this neighborhood and its wacky charm. I feel very lucky to have been able to live and work part time just off this iconic intersection over the last two years. This is Maple Tree Square, the intersection of Carrall, Alexander and Water streets. You can't see the cobblestones in this shot. I need a wider angle lens for these kind of shots.

Vancouver began right under the feet of Gassy Jack (the statue), who was its first Barkeep. The block I live on has no less than a dozen bars and restaurants, so the tradition is very much alive.
