Our Valley
Saskatchewan isn't all flat prairie. Our family property includes a large valley area where our Arabian Horses graze and we enjoy walking.
This may look like HDR, but it isn't. I did this by using the magnetic lasso on the sky, running autolevels, then inverse selection and run auto levels again. Also used selective color to remove all the magenta autolevels thought should be in the sky....duh. You can still see traces in the top left.
It looks much more like the real thing than the camera was able to figure out as it basically blows it own brains out trying to find the median exposure level between sky and valley.
This one really does look better bigger and View On Black
This photo was selected for Blue Ribbon (1rst) in the landscape class at the 140th Saanich Fair this year, and came second overall in color photograph class.
