Presentation & Perception

St. Martin, Quality Collectibles since 1759. They *must* be good. This little collectible must be a valuable collectible, worthy of passing down to your grandchildren's grandchildren as a prized family heirloom.

 

Actually, this is something I picked up from the dollar store. St. Martin is totally made up. But with a little judicious lighting and photography, this cheapie trinket can be presented as something that you just might be willing to pay through the nose for.

 

I don't understand why people pay oodles of money for collectible display items, but hey, if I can present a dollar-store item in a way that would appeal to those folks then I'm doing my job properly :)
