Final day at the Bee Field
The finished sculpted boulder seat. You'll notice that the top of the boulder has been left open, this will be filled with sand and capped with moss and lichen, the idea is to encourage solitary bees to use it as a nesting facility, a kind of high rise condominium for our buzzy friends. The bees are completely harmless so there's no danger to wouldbe seat users, they will however be able to get a fantastic view of the bees going about their business.
