the king and i

anyone who knows me on here will know iv been dying to see a kingfisher for ages and had only managed to spot blue flashes up till now!

 

Then ‘Chris McLoughlin’ got in touch and said he was going to see the kingfisher on saturday so me and ‘Andrew Rickman’ went down to meet him and there we met up with ‘Moonrhino’ and ‘bojangles_1953’ there too! (a reeet little flickr gathering!)

 

and i saw him!!!

 

he wasn’t very near, the light was a bit hit and miss, i was using autofocus and due to reeds and branches in the foreground the lens was hunting a lot, and the iso was through the roof - but I SAW HIM!!!
