MA FINAL STAGE 25
My final project for my master's degree in SCENOGRAPHY at BIRMINGHAM CITY UNIVERSITY (birmingham institute of art and design BIAD) is the design of a visual environment for a musical concert for one of the leading Nigerian and African afro hip hop and r&b duo group P SQUARE.
I have tried to create a scenic design that reflects the theme of their songs. In addition i have also attempted to introduce dramaturgy into live musical performance, which i consider to be an innovation. The overall design includes a melodrama that will run concurrently with the performance, having interludes in between the performance for the dialogue.
I have taken advantage of current and emerging technology to develop this scheme.
My final work is the result of a process of learning that i have engaged with on the course, that has moved my understanding and technical visualisation skills forward significantly.
