As an artist, I have painted many species of birds. One thing I have discovered over the years - Blue Jay paintings don't sell. Guess they don't have the cute factor that Cardinals and Chickadees have. Since I don't need to paint anymore jays, I thought I would challenge myself to photograph them today, and see what kind of an image I could come up with. A total of 1700 images, and maybe a dozen keepers.
They have to be one of Canada's most colorful birds.
