Defensive measures! ....

For the Macro Monday challenge "Spiky" (November 23rd 2020)

 

This morning's garden work gave me my final choice for this challenge, as I donned gauntlets to cut back the firethorn bushes by the house! The spines are ferocious, and it is one of my least favourite garden chores. The birds love the berries, but it amazes me how they never get impaled on these spikes!
