Glitter!

For the Macro Monday theme “Best with Holidays is…” (December 23rd 2019)

 

This is the only festive season we have! All our birthdays and anniversaries come within 5 days of Christmas, and are followed by Hogmanay! So it is the one time of the year when I can get out all the tinsel, sparkly decorations, light the festive lights - and turn on a bit of glamour. It's also the perfect time as the winter 'Festivals of Light' are all rolled up into this season of darkness, short days and long nights. So the glitter, colour and sparkle are perfect against the dark backdrop! It makes the month of December a real landmark for us both ;o)

 

These tiny glitter balls are just 2.5cm across, and shot here with two holly leaves from the garden. And there was bit of sunshine falling on the ceramis tiles to feel even more festive!
