With how fast the RoadRailer goes, the shots are few and far between. So, after the Illiopolis shot, we beelined it to Springfield to shoot him coming past the former Chicago & Illinois Midland tower.
We were lucky, as once we arrived, we found a BNSF coal empty that was given signals across the diamond, making the 255 wait for several minutes until the interlocking opened up again. The sun also started to peak through at this point, and although it wasn't perfect yet, it was shaping up to be a nice afternoon.
