Settle&Carlisle Reopening Special.
To commemorate the reopening of the full length of the Settle &Carlisle Railway after the £23million reconstruction job following the devastating landslip near Armathwaite, Flying Scotsman hauled a special train over the full length of the line on 31st March 2017. With plenty in reserve the engine climbs through Ribblesdale under leaden skies.At least it wasn't raining! Full credit to the Network Rail engineers for executing this major civil engineering work.
