ONE FROM THE ARCHIVES:
A pair of L&N E8s and an E6 power C&EI southbound train No. 93 on the C&WI at 31st Street, on August 27, 1966. This is the combined Georgian Hummingbird, a train C&EI operated jointly with the L&N. C&EI operated this train to Evansville where it was interchanged to the L&N. Upon arrival at Nashville, the train was split with the Georgian going to Atlanta, and the Hummingbird bound for New Orleans. Photo by J. J. Buckley, original slide from my collection.
