Paris skyline at night with Eiffel tower

City of lights

This shot was taken from the 56th floor of Tour Montparnasse, the tallest building in Paris. Main focus is of course the Eiffel tower with La Défense in the background.

I was planning on shooting from the observatory deck, which has no glass for the best results. However, when arriving at the entrance the lady told me the panorama deck was closed due to strong winds, bummer! The great thing about this place is that they don't give you a hard time with respect to using a tripod to shoot. They are actually very relaxed about it, great people!

I spent about 2 hours shooting from just before sunset until the end of the blue hour. Most challeging was trying to get a long exposure without any of the other tourists accidentally flashing into the glass.

Pretty happy with the way this shot came out. More to come in the next weeks. Enjoy the weekend!
