Historically, Logos has been associated with very strong and profound meaning across many cultures. Some of the symbolisms captivate my imagination, particularly when it is used in context with fire and reason.
In Greek mythology, Prometheus, who was sly and cunning, outwitted Zeus, and stole the flare of eternal fire from Mount Olympus. He then took this flame to Earth, and gave it to the humans.
Giving this flame to mankind not only gave them all the obvious benefits of fire, it also brought order and reason and helped to shape society in an orderly and productive manner. Thus Logos became the link between humans and the gods.
I'm convinced that our world has lost touch with Logos and needs a resurgence in reason and common sense order. We need Prometheus to once again pay us all a visit.
