Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer): This bird is a very common breeding resident, found in all habitats of Northern India. It is bird is a smoky brown bird with a partially crested black head and with a distinct crimson patch under the root of the tail. Commonly seen on garden trees in Northern India. Its food consists of berries, insects and fruits.
