Solitude (Explored on 20 Sep 25)

View in large.

Sri Lankan elephant (Male) flipping its trunk holding weeds before eat them, taken from a distance at Wilpattu NP, Sri Lanka.

FACTS:

Elephants “clean” weeds by picking them up with their trunks and rubbing them against rough ridges on the underside of the trunk or against their chest to remove soil and dust from the roots before eating them.

Have a peaceful weekend my dear Flickr friends.

Thank you so much for dropping by my photostream and leaving all the kind comments. They are very much appreciated.
