Presidents Heads sculptures in Williamsburg, VA
It's been on our radar for a while, but it only opens to the public a few times each year, so we only managed a visit now.
“The outdoor museum in which they once resided went bankrupt in 2010. The result has been a transfer of ownership, a subsequent move to private property, and over a decade of neglect and decay. The Heads now reside on private property that doubles as a functional industrial recycling facility.”
They are significantly more popular today, as ruins, than they ever were in the original park. There are 42, plus so-called “Baby Obama” (a study model), the last president was George W. Bush.
