Donut Dad
... is a dear real life friend of mine and the second person featured in my personal art project.
They came into my life at a time when I needed someone to help me feel comfortable about who I am.
We sit and talk for hours on a whole spectrum of topics, but what I adore most about them is their love of donuts, spoken word, and Halsey.
I told them on the day we first met, when I was showing them my drawings, that I would draw them one day.
I wanted to do it on their birthday, but you see, this person (much like me) isn't big on celebrating birthdays. So today, I dub this day DONUT-DAY. And in celebration of DONUT-DAY I have drawn you. Just like I said I would. Just how I imagine you, happy and laying in the sun with a smile.
