Prometheus

Yes a cheap ride on the film of the same name, but as soon as I saw this it felt 'alien' and otherworldly. On a slightly more philosophical note I feel this image represents a key moment in my photographic journey and the improvements I've been making as an artist this year. Prometheus is a symbol of progress in mythology so it seems apt.

 

Then again, maybe I just like the word as much as I like the image so should stop looking for excuses to use it! :)

 

This was shot at the same time as Mochras Gold and Mochras Pink on a particularly fruitful evening on the beach at Shell Island where we were blessed with a fantastic sky on our last night. Having done my research the high tide and sunset happened together and the result is one of my favourite images to date.
