Spring snow on Cerro Prat (2008)
The rocky structure in the middle distance is popularly known as the Devil's Chair (Silla del Diablo). The lower slopes of Cerro Prat (behind, 1180m), are forest-covered. The more distant mountain is Cerro Balmaceda, 2035m, at the head of Last Hope Sound. Distant clouds shroud permanent snow-fields at the southernmost section of the Southern Andean Ice-Cap.
