African Methodist Episcopal Church - founded 1823, Samaná (1995)

The original congregation were free African-Americans who immigrated from Philadelphia in 1824.

 

The prefabricated corrugated iron ("zinc") building was brought from Britain towards the close of the 19th century, and assembled on-site. The interior is completely finished in wood.

 

The present congregation is Dominican Evangelical.
