2012 LAPD Dodge Charger (2013 CES Version)
2012 LAPD Charger with a solar powered Federal Signal Valor, ALPR's, an infrared camera on the passenger spotlight, and Intergrated Display in the center console.
On my way back from picking up lunch today during work I walked up Los Angeles Street where the old LAPD Parker Center was and happened upon an officer driving this LAPD Charger onto the sidewalk in front of the LAPD Information Technology Bureau (I think). He got out and I chatted with him a bit as I recognized this particular Charger from the 2013 Consumer Electronic Show. He told me that the department has ordered several (hundred) more 2012-2013 Dodge Chargers and also have a new 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility being outfitted and hopefully out onto the streets in a few months. However none of the newer generation vehicles really suited the LAPD because they don't offer the same space as the Crown Vic (which the LAPD just outfitted and put in service 75 2011 Crown Vics).
The officer also was kind enough to let me take pictures and was very informative and friendly and told me that the Chief was showing some law enforcement officers from the Philippines various LAPD toys and gadgets and thus brought this Charger onto the sidewalk.
Unfortunately I didn't have my Canon camera with me to get even better shots.
