DOCTOR, doctor 🇬🇷 ΙΑΤΡΕΙΟ, ιατρειο 🇬🇷 διδάκτορας, δόκτορας

The greek language has two different words for the different kinds of doctors.

 

ΙΑΤΡΕΙΟ (ιατρειο) medical doctor (pictured above) ιατρείο

and δόκτορας (doctor)

 

Sounds like διδάκτορας (teacher)

 

 

In the english language there is only have one, overloaded word which has multiple meanings, Doctor of Philosophy, Medical Doctor etc
