Jack Preiss Survey of Campus in Advance of Desegregation
Associate Professor Jack J. Preiss chaired a working committee to evaluate racial discrimination at Duke in 1962. In addition to writing a report, the committee also drafted a resolution encouraging the Board of Trustees to stop discrimination in undergraduate admissions. The resolution was accepted by the faculty.
