431MDT was a Leyland Tiger Cub with a Roe body, one of a batch of five delivered Doncaster Corporation Transport in October 1963. It became 1031 in the South Yorkshire fleet and remained in service until August 1979. The following year it, along with 432MDT, had been exported to Malta for the Malta Government to transport workers building the new dock complex. Until recently at least one of them was still languishing in a scrapyard.
