Laser cut lamps - Digital Media 245
by DSTL UNR
Illuminations is an installation of laser cut lamps created by Nicole Miller's Digital Media 245 students. Each lamp is constructed of various types of cardboard and embedded with laser-etched visual content. Students created their initial imagery with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and finally took their files to the DeLaMare Library where they used an Epiloge 75w laser etcher to cut their lamp design. This project was a dynamic opportunity for interdisciplinary learning, allowing students to engage with resources outside of the Art Department. This installation will be on display here in the Atrium of the DeLaMare Library from May 16th to the 27th.
