Stormy Day Falls

I woke up this morning with the rain coming down sideways.......and did what any true northwesterner would do.....went outside to play......

 

there was wind and rain on the trail up and as soon as I hit the falls, there was a break in the weather system.....just my luck right.....wrong......I shot about 30 or 40 shots before I realized that I had my camera set on 320 ISO.....then it started to rain a little.....I played around with different comps only to find this is one hard waterfall to shoot...

 

I decided to go with this comp to post only because I feel it gives the viewer a very good idea of the falls and the lush forest that surrounds it.

 

As I was walking out back to the car the rain really started coming down and it rained the whole way home......

 

I feel lucky to have got the shots I did.....I did switch my ISO back to 100 and took some more shots but most of those have huge water drops on the lens...

 

Now its time for a hot shower and a cold drink!
