The Perilous And The Precious

I'm not sure why I like this one exactly, but it drew me in. That's usually how it happens (Jolene will tell you). I can walk down the street, my eyes darting to and fro, and spot something.....something.....which causes me to stop dead in my tracks, lift the camera, and snap. Many times she kept talking and strolling along unaware I paused to do my thing.

 

Anyway, I guess I was struck by how this little window of "cute" and "pretty" and "darling" was smack in the middle of the grit and grime of midtown Manhattan. Fire and 911 emergency number signs on the door, right next to sweet, tiny communion and party dresses.

 

Worlds collide. Worlds exist together. Such is the nature of the big city.

 

Yeah, I'm weird.
