what does the future sound, see, taste, like today..

i tend to scribble when i drink, a few martinis in me and im rambling about something...

I like to think in words that define what is now. So what does the future today sound like, taste like, see.. what do I see in books, in ads, on walls, what do I hear people saying to me, what am I tasting?

 

beta, thats a big word right now, flickr, gmail, its probably passed but yet beta is the new now must come see, its the idea that yer into something special, trendy, and experimental, it also absolves any you of any wrong doings really, its the chance advert, you could do be x, or y, or zero, take a chance

 

authentic, we use this word alot in our research, this growing notion that authentic is appealing, well our customers ask for it, and our participants keep bringing it up as well, authentic is old, retro, proven before the eyes of god, its trust, its remember when

 

cowboy country, people always tell me country is the best selling music on the planet, hmm but what about cowboy, is the cowboy comin back, did it ever leave? sometimes in martini rambles words just hit you and you dont know why, you just write them down..

 

retro, well we know this is happening right now, cars, radios, techology, office space enviroments, retro is in, will it last, is there a new retro-modern slant coming?

 

comfort, another word we run into alot at work, what is comfort? is comfort the mystical stepchild of accessories?

 

edge, what is the edge, is that interesting? i think edge is overused as a word, but whats another term for it, lets say cliff, cliff is in, cliff is the visual representation of what being on the edge could be, unless of course you backed away from the edge of it
