Lou (#238)
I headed out with my brother for an hour or two in Nottingham to drink some coffee and take a few portraits. We were heading to a cool coffee shop when I saw Lou walking down the street.
I was drawn to the long hair and beanie, and thought he looked like a cool guy for the project. Lou is at university in Nottingham studying music. His last module was about mixing different music, but his current assignment is more theory and he was finding it hard going. He was doing 500 words per coffee shop as a way to keep himself going, so he was pretty buzzing from the caffeine! He was such a nice guy and a pleasure to photograph.
It was also really cool to be back out shooting portraits, hanging out with my brother and enjoying the sunshine. I had taken a bit of a break from stranger portraits and Flickr in general, spending time on more personal projects, but keen to get back into it with the summer coming.
This was one of those encounters where it makes this all worthwhile.
