Blanket of Heather

The heather comes out in bloom right at the end of summer in the Peak District and only for a few weeks, then we are treated to 50 weeks of drab brown heather :| Normally I miss the opportunity to photograph it, and this year was no exception. This wasn't what I had in mind at all, but I've given it a spin through lightroom. It's a composite of 6 handheld shots.
