Eye to Eye C7A1990

With a snow tipped snout, a red fox stops, momentarily, to glance back at the camera. A pristine snowy hillside in Yellowstone National Park makes a wonderful stage for this beautiful animal. Despite the deep snow, it uses its powerful sense of smell to root out prey around rocks and under branches. I admit that eye contact with wildlife is something I enjoy. It’s ever so much more enjoyable when the animal continues to carry on unfettered.
