I should be packing to leave for another visit to Canada’s icy Hudson Bay coast but the tiniest of sub-cellular particles has caused restrictions in travel across borders. It’s understandable and I am thankful that the virus affecting the world is not Ebola. If it were, the negligence of so many individuals would have had devastating consequences for our populations. We are lucky that the mortality rates for this novel illness is relatively low. The world will “only” see mortality rates in the millions rather than hundreds of millions. The overwhelming number will survive to appreciate nature’s raw beauty another day.
