Miracles
There is a different kind of story behind our card this year. It was created from a simple coiled tube of lights in one of the Front Street storefronts. I set my lens next to the glass at tube level, set the camera on manual so I could hold the shutter open and zoomed the focal length. Friends see an angel in the result...which is in itself a miracle on Front Street.
The Traverse City Camera Club holds a night shoot downtown in early December...neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow keep us from our appointed date...and each year the weather creates a different challenge and effect so Terry and I tend to dress as if we were going to be standing around in winter in the UP and show up, cameras ready. John Russell of Record Eagle fame...and more...is our leader, sharing tips with all who meet at Horizon Shine Cafe. Terry and I no longer really need to wait for the group to capture downtown at night, but it is still fun to mix and mingle. Now that TACC has a website, you never know how far someone will travel to join us. This year the farthest was from Holland.
