Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, at the foot of Vatnajökull glacier. The icebergs that calve from the glacier edge move towards the river mouth which connects to the atlantic, and tide currents pull them out. Some of them drift back onto the black sand beach where they slowly melt in the surf.
